Effective Monday, December 12, 2011, the BATS Options Exchange trading platform will be migrating from a 24 to 32 Matching Engine configuration. While the distribution of securities traded across Matching Engines will continue to be broken down by underlying symbol range, it will be further divided by Puts vs. Calls and Front 2 Expiration Months vs. Back Expiration Months. There will be 4 Matching Engines assigned to every defined underlying symbol range. As a result of this new distribution, Members must be prepared to support updates to BATS Multicast PITCH, Risk Management and Spin on the effective date as follows. BATS Options Announces Availability of Real-time Latency Monitoring Service Effective Immediately

BATS Options Exchange is pleased to announce the release of a Real-time Latency Monitoring Service. This same service was made available to members of the BZX Exchange and BYX Exchange earlier this year. The Real-time Latency Monitoring service enables members to monitor order latency at a microsecond level in real-time via the Latency Stats link in the BATS Member Web Portal. BATS Options Exchange Adjustment to Market Opening Procedures Effective November 4, 2011

Effective Friday, November 4, 2011 (pending filing with the SEC), BATS Options Exchange will open equity options (other than index options) for trading after the opening trade in the underlying security on the primary listing market after 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time.
