Cboe BZX and EDGX Options Exchanges
Cboe operates four U.S.-listed cash equity options markets, including BZX Options Exchange and EDGX Options Exchange, profiled on this website. Details on our other markets are available on www.cboe.com.
BZX Options and EDGX Options are all-electronic markets. BZX Options is a pure price-time priority platform that offers penny executions in all options regardless of premium or class; EDGX Options is based on a customer priority/pro rata allocation model. All multiply-listed equity options available for trading in the U.S. are available for trading on the Cboe BZX and EDGX Options Exchanges. Cboe BZX and EDGX Options Exchanges also offer singly-listed options that are not available on other options exchanges on many different underlyings.
Cboe Global Markets (formerly CBOE Holdings, Inc.) acquired Bats Global Markets, the prior operator of these exchanges, in February 2017. To learn more about that transaction, click here.
